When it costs a huge amount of time, money and effort to do something, naturally you won't be able to take as many risks. While for us communication designers, the overall costs for us to design have been on the low end, product design still requires a massive investment to go to production for the most part. But with things like this, I have to wonder if all of those restrictions will be less of than issue in the next few years.
